Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. is all set to launch its Thar Roxx, the 5-door version of the Thar on 15 August. This is one of the most anticipated launches of the year. The brand has released multiple teasers of the upcoming SUV and in a new teaser, the brand has teased the interior of the upcoming SUV. Mahindra Thar Roxx Interior Teased
The newly launched teaser of the SUV has revealed new features that the SUV will get. The upcoming Thar Roxx will get a panoramic sunroof, and leatherette seats, and the front seats are expected to boast seat ventilation function, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, Harmon Kardon speakers among other features.
Other interior details of the Thar Roxx will include a center armrest with storage in the front row, the rear row will get a 60:40 split seat and an armrest with cupholders. The rear passengers will also get an individual AC vent placed under the front armrest
The previously released teasers of the SUV have revealed the exterior design elements. The Thar Roxx will get a new LED headlamp setup with a new DRL design, a new grille, and new alloy wheels design among other design elements.
Mahindra Thar Roxx Engine Specifications
The Thar Roxx is expected to get the same engine options as the current 3-Door version. It will get a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The power and torque figures are expected to remain unchanged, and so are the transmission options. We can expect some changes in the suspension tuning, and engine tuning to suit the character of the long wheelbase version. It will be available in a 4WD version and is expected to get an RWD version as well.
Verdict
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is one of the most anticipated launches of the year. So far, the 3-door configuration of the Thar has been available in the market, but some customers, especially those with families, find it impractical. The 5-door version will enhance the practicality of the Thar. The launch will take place on 15 August and it is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 16 to Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming Thar Roxx will compete with the Force Gurkha 5 Door.
