New Yamaha R15 S V3 Price Starts From INR 1.57 Lakh

The Yamaha R15 is one of the most affordable performance-oriented bikes in the brand's lineup and offers supreme VFM and impressive design language. The brand recently launched a new iteration of the bike in India. The new Yamaha R15 S V3 price starts from INR 1.57 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the bike features a unibody single seat. The newly launched R15 S V3 price is INR 14,000 more affordable than the base model of the R15 V4.0. Here are all the details that you should know about this Japanese bike.

For starters, the R15 S V3 has been offered in a single exterior colour option - Racing Blue and features no other visual changes. Likewise, the bike continues to come with a multi-functional LCD instrument console and attractive headlights. On the features front, the bike gets a gear shift indicator, side-stand indicator with engine cut-off function, dual-channel ABS, assist and slipper clutch, and electric start. Other features like a quick shifter and traction control are still missing from the package.

Powering the Yamaha R15 S V3 is the same 155cc motor that we see on other interactions of the bike. This 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 4V, SOHC engine churns out 18.34bhp and has a peak torque output of 14.1 Nm. This engine comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The engine gets VVA (variable valve actuation) technology that helps in improving the overall performance at higher speeds. In terms of the dimensions, the bike measures 1990mm in length, 725mm in width, and 1135mm in height. The gross weight of the bike stands at 142 kgs.

Yamaha is also working on a number of electric two-wheelers that will be launched soon. However, the brand is focusing on introducing hybrid technology and recently launched the hybrid versions of the Fascinno 125 Fi and the RayZR 125 Fi scooters. A new premium scooter in the 125cc segment too is expected to be introduced in near future. Apart from this, the brand is also said to be working on new 150-250cc bikes to take on the rivals.
