Nissan will officially unveil the all-new Magnite sub-4m compact SUV in the Indian market on 21st October. It will take on the likes Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and more such cars. Earlier this year, Nissan revealed the concept version of the Magnite but uncamouflaged spy pictures reveal new details. Here are five things that we know about the upcoming Nissan Magnite compact SUV.
Only petrol engine options

Nissan is yet to officially announce the engine options. However, only petrol engine options will be available with the Magnite. A 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated and a turbocharged option will be available with the car. It will be the third only-petrol car in the segment after the Vitara Brezza and the Toyota Urban Cruiser. The lower-end variants will offer naturally-aspirated and the top-end variants will get the turbocharged engine. Nissan will offer CVT automatic transmission option too, making it the only compact SUV to do so.
Looks similar to the concept

The Nissan Magnite looks very similar to the concept model. It gets a big Datsun-shaped grille at the front, L-shaped DRLs and sleek headlamps. There are a few changes but it looks identical to the concept version, which means an attractive overall design.
Dual-tone body colour options

Almost all the cars in the market now offer dual-tone body colours. They look sportier than monotone colours and are also very eye-catchy. Nissan will offer at least two dual-tone options that we have spotted testing on the roads before the official launch.
Feature-list

Since the sub-4m compact SUV segment is extremely competitive, Nissan will offer a long list of features. Nissan will offer a 360-degree camera system as it offers with the Kicks. The Magnite compact SUV will become the first car in the segment to offer this feature. Other features are yet to be announced but it should offer dual-tone cabin, touchscreen infotainment system and more such features.
Price range

Nissan will put a highly aggressive price tag on the Magnite. The base model will undercut the Kia Sonet, which is currently the most affordable vehicle in the segment at Rs 6.71 lakh. The Magnite will get a base price of around Rs 6.5 lakh. Here is a quick look at the production ready model below.
