The BMW F 450 GS has been spotted testing again, and this time, a few details seem to be a lot more clearer. The concept unveil was a proper off-roader, but the motorcycle photographed here appears more road-ready. This F 450 GS will replace the G 310 GS, and we have got more for you on that front as well.

BMW F 450 GS Production-Spec Spotted Testing; Details
Back at the global unveil in 2024, the F 450 GS was shown with cross-spoke alloy rims, and BMW Motorrad said that cast aluminium rims would be offered as optional extras. The motorcycle in pictures comes with alloy rims, but it is hard to tell which ones are they exactly. Regardless, the F 450 GS will get 19-inch wheels up front and 17-inch wheels at the rear.
This motorcycle looks quite close to entering production, and it takes inspiration from the R 1300 GS, as the beak and the headlamp look familiar, but the X-shaped DRL appears to have been changed. The body panels are also styled sharply, and overall it appears to be quite the sleek motorcycle.
While not much can be said about the hardware just yet, BMW Motorrad says it will make use of lightweight construction, and that it is aiming for a kerb weight of 175kg. The bikemaker has also said it will deploy fully-adjustable golden USD forks and a pre-load adjustable monoshock, along with disc brakes.
The F 450 GS will get a TFT screen as standard, along with features such as smartphone pairing, navigation and more. We can also expect dual-channel ABS, and electronic rider aids as well. The bike will be produced by TVS, and we can expect a global debut later this year. Key rivals include the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the KTM 390 Adventure.
Two more motorcycles will also follow the production-spec F 450 GS, as BMW Motorrad will likely replace the G 310 GS and the G 310 RR. However, there is no word on their India-entry just yet.

Verdict
The production-spec F 450 GS will replace the G 310 GS, which had become quite dated. With all the new hardware and technology, the F 450 GS should find it easy to draw new buyers and make the GS heritage more accessible to a larger audience.
