Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition Launched; Here's What Makes it Stand out

Suzuki Motorcycle India has added a Special Edition to the Hayabusa line-up, giving its flagship sportbike a more exclusive look. The company has also refreshed the regular Hayabusa with three new colour schemes and a set of electronic updates aimed at riders. The announcement was made on 28 September 2026 from Suzuki's base in Gurugram, and both versions are now available at dealerships nationwide.

For a motorcycle that has long been a fixture at the top of Suzuki's range, this update leaves the core hardware alone. What changes is how the bike looks, and a few of the details riders will notice on the road.

What Sets the Special Edition Apart

The Special Edition is offered in a single exclusive shade, Pearl Vigor Blue. Suzuki has added a set of finishing touches that make it easy to tell apart from the standard bike:

• Special decals and a distinct wheel finish
• A three-dimensional SUZUKI emblem on the fuel tank
• A Special Edition badge, also on the tank
• Anodised muffler-end and heat-guard components
• A single-seat cowl, supplied as standard equipment

The seat cowl is the most practical extra. Riders who mostly ride solo often add one to give the tail a cleaner, sportier look, and here it comes with the bike instead of being bought separately.

Three New Colour Options for the Regular Hayabusa

Buyers who prefer the standard bike now have three new dual-tone combinations to choose from:

Electronics Updates on Both Versions

The Special Edition and the standard bike share the same electronic refinements:

• Lithium-ion battery: A new ELIIY Power unit replaces the earlier battery. Suzuki says it is lighter and more compact and holds its voltage more steadily under load.
• Launch Control and Power Mode Selector: Both systems have revised settings.
• Smart Cruise Control: It now stays active through gear changes, so a rider can hold a set road speed without keeping the throttle open while shifting.

What Stays the Same

The Hayabusa's engine is unchanged: a 1,340cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, inline-four DOHC unit that Suzuki describes as delivering a broad spread of torque for easy acceleration. The company says the exhaust note was tuned with its Exhaust Sound Quality Evaluation Program, so it sounds strong at start-up without becoming tiring during everyday riding.

The chassis and brakes also carry over:

• Twin-spar aluminium frame and swingarm
• Adjustable KYB inverted front forks
• Brembo Stylema front calipers with twin 320mm full-floating discs
• Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tyres

Suzuki also points to the bodywork, which was extensively tested in a wind tunnel to offer protection both in a normal riding position and when the rider is tucked in at speed.

The electronics package that riders already know is still there: Motion Track Traction Control, a bi-directional quickshifter, Suzuki Easy Start, Low RPM Assist, and Slope Dependent Control, along with LED lighting.

Price and Availability

The standard Hayabusa is priced at ₹18,99,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Special Edition costs ₹19,90,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is ₹91,000 more. That extra money buys the exclusive colour, the styling details, and the seat cowl. Suzuki also offers genuine accessories and Hayabusa riding apparel for buyers who want to add to the bike.
