Top Five Things To Expect From New Aprilia SR GT 200 Adventure

The Aprilia SR GT 200 is a well-known scooter in the market and boasts impressive performance and appealing looks. The brand recently revealed the Aprilia SR GT 200 Adventure scooter in the Japanese markets that will soon be introduced in India. Here are the top five things to expect from the upcoming SR GT 200 in India.

Updated Looks

For starters, the new SR GT 200 Adventure scooter will be offered with updated looks that not only look better and more appealing but in addition to this, also offer better road presence. In addition to this, what we also see are a wider handlebar, block pattern tyres, new signature tri-LED headlights, and a new ADV smoked windscreen. A big maxi-style huge transmission tunnel is also placed between the legs of the rider. Other noticeable elements include new silver-coloured panels and sharp-looking tail lamps.

Updated Mechanicals

With the launch of the GT SR 200, Aprilia will also offer an improved mechanical setup with a new suspension setup. For starters, the SR GT 200 is underpinned by a double-cradle frame while it features 33mm telescopic forks at the front while the rear gets a twin-shock setup. The suspension has been derived from Showa. The braking setup consists of petal-shaped discs with 260mm and 220mm rotors at the front and at the rear respectively.

Colour Schemes

The GT SR 200 Adventure will be offered in two models - Standard and Sport while three colour schemes are expected to be on offer - Aprilia Black, Street Grey, and Infinity Blue. The Sport trim level can additionally be had with three different liveries like street grey, red raceway, and street gold.

Powertrain

In the Japanese markets, this scooter will be available with a 174cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 17.43 bhp and 16.5 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a standard automatic CVT gearbox. The same engine is expected to be offered in the Indian market.

Expected Launch Date

The new Aprilia SR GT 200 Adventure is expected to make it to the Indian market by the end of 2022 or early 2023. The brand however is yet to announce the official launch timeline of this max-adventure scooter in India.
