The Toyota Camry was one of the most elegant and classy looking sedans back then and even with its subtle design language, had a very imposing road presence. The long hood and the overall width of the car made it look huge and the headlamps along with the subtle bumper design complimented the overall look. Moving towards the side actually made us realise how long the car was and the overall silhouette looked proportionate.

The interiors of the Camry deserve a special mention here. The cabin was not just spacious but was extremely comfortable and isolated from the external environment. The seats were supportive and had just the right amount of cushioning to make the journey a pleasurable experience.

From the driver's point of view, the car was practical as everything was within easy reach from the driver. The all-around visibility was great and the Camry had sorted driving dynamics. In terms of safety and features, the Toyota Camry was well equipped with all the bells and whistles including dual front airbags and a reinforced body shell.

The Toyota Camry was powered by a 2362 cc engine which churned out 141 bhp and 205 Nm of peak torque. This engine was mated to a 5-Speed Manual gearbox and this version of the Camry had a top speed of 210 kmph.
