Triumph Thruxton 400 All Set For August 6 Debut

Triumph Motorcycles has confirmed that its new Triumph Thruxton 400 cafe racer will debut on August 6, 2025. To build excitement, the company released a clever teaser image, a cappuccino cup with latte art shaped like the bike's distinctive half-fairing and handlebars, teaser captioned 'Poise and Performance, Brewed to Perfection', ties the classic cafe-racer theme to Triumph's heritage.

The official launch confirmation closely follows a series of spy shots captured earlier this week. These images show the Thruxton 400 completely undisguised, believed to be en route to a TVC shoot near Pune. The motorcycle's production-ready appearance suggests that Triumph has completed its final development and testing phases, indicating it's ready for its market debut.

The spy shots revealed several signature styling cues that define the Thruxton 400's cafe racer aesthetic. These include a sleek half-fairing with a classic round LED headlamp, sporty bar-end mirrors, a single-piece seat complemented by a rear cowl, and aggressive clip-on handlebars. The design language clearly draws inspiration from the larger Thruxton 1200, seamlessly blending with the underpinnings of Triumph's successful 400cc platform, which also supports the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. A bold red paint scheme with white racing stripes appears to be one of the potential launch colours. The Triumph Thruxton 400 is expected to feature a tubular steel frame paired with USD front forks and a rear monoshock, ensuring a balanced ride and agile handling. It will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels and employ disc brakes at both ends for confident stopping power.

Powertrain
Underneath its retro facade, the Thruxton 400 is expected to share its core mechanicals with its 400cc siblings. This includes the 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, anticipated to produce around 40 PS and 37.5 Nm of torque.
Despite Triumph's aggressive 400cc pricing, the Thruxton 400 is expected to be its most premium offering, suggesting a price closer to Rs. 3.00-Rs. 3.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
