TVS Join Hands With Jio-BP For Electric Two And Three Wheeler Charging Service

TVS Motors and Reliance BP Mobility Limited has joined hands to develop charging infrastructure for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers. Customers of TVS electric vehicles will have access to the Jio-bp charging network, which is also available to other vehicles, as part of the planned cooperation. The collaboration seeks to build a traditional AC charging network as well as a DC fast-charging network. Jio-bp is now running its EV charging and switching stations under the Jio-bp pulse brand.

Customers can quickly locate local charging stations and charge their electric vehicles using the Jio-bp Pulse app. Jio-bp is also building a charging environment that will benefit all stakeholders in the EV value chain, with the goal of becoming one of India's largest EV networks.

TVS Motor Company is making significant growth in e-mobility, with a Rs 1,200 crore investment planned in Tamil Nadu for future technologies and electric mobility. It is also preparing a whole variety of two- and three-wheelers with power outputs ranging from 5 to 25 kW, all of which will be available in the market within the next 24 months. TVS iQube, the company's high-speed electric scooter, has already sold over 12,000 units.

Reliance BP Mobility (RBML) is an Indian fuels and mobility joint venture (JV) between Reliance Industries (RIL) and bp that operates under the Jio-bp brand. Through the Jio digital platform, the joint venture will take advantage of RIL's nationwide reach and millions of customers. bp will bring its substantial worldwide experience in distinctive high-quality fuels, lubricants, retail, and sophisticated low-carbon mobility solutions to the table.
