Skoda Octavia RS

The Octavia was the sedan that marked Skoda's entry into India in 2001, and back then, it was one of the most desirable cars on sale. Those who drove it couldn't find anything more appealing, at least in the Rs 30 - 40 lakh price bracket. It offered unmatched driving dynamics and potent engines that truly showcased what German engineering was all about and why people around the world admire and swear by these machines.
In its second decade, it received its first generational update, which once again raised the bar. However, by that time, SUVs had started dominating the market, and despite all the high-end engineering, it couldn't create the same impact as before. Sadly, it exited India in 2023, leaving enthusiasts in a state of desolation. That said, the brand has addressed that void and decided to bring back this beast in its high-performance avatar - the RS badge - which is set to launch on October 17th, 2025. But mind you, only 100 units will be brought in, and since it's a CBU, the price is expected to fall somewhere between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, skipping the numbers and specs, let's focus on the colour options it will be offered in.
Octavia RS - Colour Options

As per the brochure, this sport sedan will be offered in five colour options. However, the one seen in the advertisements and press images is Mamba Green, which looks absolutely ravishing and perfectly complements its sporty character. That said, let's take a look at all the colour options it will be available in.
- Mamba Green
- Magic Black
- Candy White
- Race Blue
- Velvet Red

Verdict
This sedan is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged engine that produces 265 PS and 370 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox sending power to the front wheels only. Considering its price and specifications, its fair to believe this is essentially the sedan version of the VW Golf GTI. That said, it's still too early to compare it with anything or pass any judgment, as we haven't seen it in real life yet.
