Upcoming Yamaha R3 & MT-03 Will Launch By The End Of 2023!

Yamaha R3 & MT-03 India Launch Details

Recently, in a media interaction, the Chairman of Yamaha India Mr. Eishin Chihana revealed that the R3 & MT-03 launch is scheduled. As per the details shared by him, both models shall debut by the end of 2023. Also, our sources have revealed that Yamaha is suspected to debut the R3 during the upcoming Indian MotoGP. Mind you, the R3 is a middle-weight sports bike that is popular for its performance and capabilities globally. Yamaha used to sell the R3 in India but it was axed down due to low sales. But, the middle-weight sports bike segment has now revived and the R3 shall make more sense now. Therefore, both the R3 & its naked cousin MT-03 will launch in India.

As these models are already on sale globally, we expect no major changes to the Indian spec. Both bikes are powered via a powerful 321cc parallel-twin engine. This powerplant makes a peak output of 42 PS and 29.6 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, Yamaha offers rich build quality along with the latest features. Equipment like LED lights, TFT colour display, Bluetooth connectivity, etc., are offered as standard on both models. The previous R3 which was on sale in India was priced at a premium. However, the upcoming R3 shall be no different case either due to its premium build. Therefore, we think that Rs 3.5 lakh is going to be the expected launch price of the R3. The MT-03 shall be only a few thousand less than the R3.
