Yamaha Launched R15 V4 in Indonesia - Read To Know More

Yamaha has introduced R15 V4 in the Indonesian markets as well. The bike was first introduced in the Indian market in September 2021. The brand launched three new 155cc bikes this year - R15 V4, R15M, and Aerox 155. The sporty commuters R15 V4 and R15M have now been introduced in Indonesia with some updates.

Yamaha R15 is more expensive in Indonesia as compared to India. The bike in India asks for a premium of Rs 1.71 lakhs to Rs 1.83 lakhs (ex-showroom). Whereas, in Indonesia the bike starts at 38.9 million IDR for R15 V4 and 43.5 million IDR for R15M. If converted to Indian currency, the bike starts at Rs 2.03 lakhs and Rs 2.27 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The fourth-generation  R15 in Indonesia will be available in four colour choices - White, Silver, Black, and Icon Blue. On the other hand, the buyers in India get three exterior color options - Racing Blue, Dark Knight, and Metallic Red. The new machine borrows inspiration from its bigger sibling R7 supersport counterpart. It comes with a new front fascia, aggressive fuel tank design, body graphics, and a redesigned visor. To enhance the bike it comes with stubby exhausts, new fairing and colour choices. Unlike the Indonesian markets, there is one more cariant available in India as R15S.

The new R15M looks much more sportier than the R15 V4. Both the machines come equipped with a complete digital LCD instrument cluster compatible with Yamaha Y-Connect and Bluetooth connectivity. This feature allows the rider to ride without any hassle. The bike looks more sporty with its LED headlamp integrated with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and tail lamp. The bike will ride on wider rear radial tyres with coloured alloy wheels. The latest generation also comes up with an engine cut-off switch also.

Both the bikes - R15M and R15 V4 are powered by a 155cc single-cylinder liquid cooled engine that comes with fuel injection technology that is capable of churning out 18.6bhp of maximum power and 14.1 Nm of peak torque mated to a six-speed gearbox. It also comes with Variable  Valve Actuation Technology. Considering the suspensions, it comes with USD or upside down fork in the front and at the rear it comes with monoshock absorbers. 

Keeping the safety of the rider in mind, it comes with dual channel ABS as standard and disc brakes at both ends. The bike competes against the likes of RC125, Gixxer SF, and KTM RC200.
