KIA Seltos

The all-new Kia Seltos draws strong design inspiration from Kia’s flagship EV9, most noticeably in the side and rear profile where the boxier silhouette and sharper surfacing are clearly visible. This design approach gives the SUV a more modern and upmarket presence on the road.

Up front, the Seltos gets a completely reworked fascia featuring a wider tiger-nose grille that seamlessly integrates the new ICE cube LED headlamps along with edge-mounted LED DRLs. This combination makes the front end look significantly bolder and more aggressive than before.

The redesigned front bumper is complemented by a granite-finished skid plate and LED fog lamps, which together enhance the SUV’s rugged appeal while maintaining a premium finish. These elements also help the Seltos stand out in the crowded midsize SUV segment.

From the side, the Seltos now features automatic flush door handles and new 18-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels paired with eye-catching neon brake calipers. These updates add a sporty and dynamic character to the overall design.

In terms of dimensions, the new Seltos measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and has a wheelbase of 2,690 mm. The increased size not only improves its road presence but also translates into better interior space.

The interior of the new Kia Seltos has received a noticeable upgrade in terms of material quality, fit, and finish, making the cabin feel more premium than before. Several elements have been borrowed from Kia’s higher-end and luxury models.

It features a double D-cut three-spoke steering wheel with dual-tone accents, which not only looks sporty but also enhances the overall driving experience. The steering design adds a modern touch to the cabin layout.

The highlight of the cabin is the massive 30-inch Trinity panoramic display, which combines the digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system into a single curved unit. This setup significantly improves usability and visual appeal.

EV6-inspired front headrests add to the premium feel, while improved rear legroom ensures better comfort for rear-seat passengers. Kia has also focused on enhancing long-distance comfort for all occupants.

Boot space stands at 447 litres as per Kia, making it practical for everyday use as well as long road trips. Overall, the interior fit and finish have clearly moved up a notch compared to the previous generation.

Feature highlights include Level 2 ADAS with 21 autonomous functions, a 360-degree parking camera with rear guidelines, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and 64-colour ambient lighting. These additions place the Seltos among the most feature-rich SUVs in its class.

Other notable features include multiple traction modes, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, front-seat ventilation function, and an electronically adjustable driver’s seat. Together, these features enhance both comfort and convenience.

The Kia Seltos continues with the same engine lineup as before, offering a choice of two petrol engines and one diesel engine to suit different driving needs. This lineup balances everyday usability, performance, and fuel efficiency across the range.

The 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine produces 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque, making it ideal for city driving and relaxed highway cruising. It is tuned for smooth power delivery and ease of use.

The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine delivers a stronger 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque, catering to buyers looking for brisk performance and quicker acceleration. This engine is best suited for enthusiasts and highway-focused users.

The 1.5-litre diesel engine generates 116 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, offering strong low-end pull and excellent long-distance efficiency. It remains a popular choice for frequent highway commuters.

Transmission options are extensive and include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed CVT, 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT), iMT, and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. This widespread ensures there is a drivetrain option for every type of buyer.
