KEY HIGHLIGHTS

- Turbo petrol DCT returns higher mileage than iMT
- NA petrol delivers 16.5 km/l across both gearboxes
The updated Kia Seltos, launched earlier this year, has now received its official ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figures. As one of the most popular SUVs in the mid-size segment, Kia Seltos mileage continues to play a key role in buyer decisions, and the latest numbers reveal a few interesting trends across engine options. With the second-generation model growing in size and gaining more features, it has also become slightly heavier. As a result, the fuel efficiency figures see a marginal dip compared to the outgoing version. Kia Seltos Mileage ARAI Figures Out: Up to 19.4 Kmpl

The 1.5-litre diesel engine of the Kia Seltos once again stands out as the most fuel-efficient option in the lineup. The manual version is rated at 19.4 km/l, while the automatic delivers 17.8 km/l. Producing 116 bhp and 250 Nm, this engine continues to be the go-to choice for buyers looking at long-distance efficiency and torque-rich performance.
Kia's 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine continues to account for a major share of sales. Available with both a manual and an IVT automatic gearbox, it returns an identical mileage figure of 16.5 km/l in both configurations. With outputs of 113 bhp and 144 Nm, it offers a balanced mix of performance and everyday usability.
Turbo Petrol Brings An Unexpected Twist

The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine delivers the most surprising result in the lineup. While the iMT variant is rated at 15.6 km/l, the 7-speed DCT version is significantly more efficient at 17.5 km/l. This is unusual, as automated manuals are typically expected to be more fuel-efficient. With 158 bhp and 253 Nm on tap, the turbo variant also remains the most performance-focused option in the range.
The new-generation Seltos now sits on a new global platform with a longer wheelbase, translating into improved cabin space and road presence. Inside, the SUV features a large 30-inch Trinity display setup that integrates the infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, and climate controls. It also benefits from enhanced connected tech with OTA updates, along with a more refined overall design.
