Skoda Kushaq Facelift Latest Update
Last Updated On 20th Jan'26: The Skoda Kushaq has received its first-ever facelift, but given the extent of updates, it can fairly be described as a generational refresh. The SUV gains a host of new features along with a major mechanical upgrade. Bookings are now open with a token amount of ₹15,000, while prices will be announced in the coming weeks. Deliveries are expected to begin from March 2026.
Design: This mid-size SUV adopts a more modern appearance with updates to its grille, lighting elements and rear design, helping it stand out more clearly from the crowd. It retains the familiar Kushaq identity but now features a new set of LED headlamps, a revised grille with integrated LED lighting, sleeker fog lamps, and a honeycomb-inspired front bumper. Collectively, these changes give the facelifted Kushaq a richer and more upmarket look compared to the outgoing model. The side profile remains largely unchanged, apart from the introduction of new 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, which complement the overall design theme and add visual distinction. At the rear, the SUV now gets a connected LED tail-lamp setup with Skoda lettering positioned at the centre. A revised bumper and sharper lighting elements further enhance the rear design, giving it a more contemporary finish.
Powertrain: The fundamentals remain unchanged, with the SUV continuing to offer the 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI EVO petrol engines. However, the earlier 6-speed torque converter automatic has been replaced by a new 8-speed torque converter gearbox, which is expected to deliver improved fuel efficiency, particularly during highway driving. The 1.0-litre engine continues to be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the 1.5-litre TSI EVO retains the 7-speed DSG option. Additionally, variants equipped with the larger engine now feature disc brakes on the rear wheels.
Features: The new additions include a fully digital instrument cluster, similar to the one seen on the larger Kodiaq and Octavia RS. It also becomes the first in its segment to offer rear seat massage functionality, a feature rarely found even in vehicles priced between Rs 30 - 40 lakh. Other updates include a six-speaker audio system with a subwoofer. Additionally, top variants now get a panoramic sunroof, while lower trims are offered with a single-pane sunroof. The 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen continues, though it now comes with added functionality. The feature list is further expanded with powered front seats that also offer ventilation.
Expected Price: This SUV is expected to be priced from around Rs 10.5 - 11 lakh (ex-showroom), with the top-spec variants likely to go up to Rs 21 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings have commenced with a token amount of Rs 15,000, while prices are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
