Skoda Kushaq

The new spy shots were taken after sunset, revealing the updated rear section featuring connected LED DRLs. This design trend, once popular in the 1980s, was revived by the fourth-generation Audi A8 in 2017 and continues to remain in vogue today. Moreover, while the headlights may look the same at first glance, they will likely come with new internal changes. Based on these photos, the turn-indicator light strip has now been positioned on the upper side. Although the car is still wrapped in camouflage, my assumption is that the headlight design itself has also been updated.

The rest of the design remains the same as before - after all, it's just a facelift. As per rumours, ADAS could also be introduced, but no spy shots have revealed it so far. An ADAS suite typically requires either a camera or a radar, and these images don't show any such setup. Skoda should consider adding this safety feature, as almost all of its main rivals have been offering it for quite some time, while it still doesn't. Even their flagship, the Kodiaq, misses out on it.

Talking about engines, we believe the current options will be retained - the 1.0L TSI and the 1.5L TSI EVO. In addition, the suspension setup could receive a slight tweak. The current Kushaq is known for its stiff suspension, which performs well on highways but feels harsh in the city, making the overall experience quite tiresome.
Verdict
The Kushaq is well-regarded for its driving dynamics and is often the top choice in its segment for enthusiasts who enjoy spirited driving. However, its sales have dropped significantly, and it badly needs an update to stage a comeback. The SUV also lags behind in features, so this facelift could give it a much-needed refresh and make it a strong contender in its segment once again.
