- 2026 Renault Duster interiors spied
- Gets a triple screen layout, as evident from the images
- Will debut next year with an EV iteration planned for 2027
The next-generation Renault Duster has been spied once again on Indian roads, but this time, the focus shifts inside the cabin. Already praised in global markets for its rugged styling and wide powertrain portfolio, the new Duster could bring back something unique to India's hotly contested compact SUV space. The latest test mule suggests that Renault might be preparing to offer a feature not yet available in any international version of the SUV, and the return could be a lot sweeter, even if it took its sweet time. Read on to find out more details on what has been papped this time around, but before that, make sure to join the 91wheels WhatsApp Community of avid petrolheads to never miss out on any latest news and automotive updates.

2026 Renault Duster Interiors Spied- Gets Triple Screen Layout!

Fresh images show the upcoming Renault Duster sporting a three-screen dashboard setup, with a central infotainment unit, digital driver's display, and a dedicated passenger-side screen. This layout, still uncommon even among premium SUVs, could be a game-changer for the compact SUV segment if Renault decides to bring it to production. Currently, no rival in the category offers such a setup, and it could be a trend setter if it makes it here. If launched in India, it would be a first-in-class feature, echoing design directions seen in upcoming SUVs like the Mahindra XUV700 facelift and Tata Sierra. Although there is a distant chance that this might be a temporary diagnostic screen suspended for collecting stats during its testing phase, I would like to keep this far-fetched assumption, just an assumption for Duster's own good as this might be one of the main talking point when it comes to the in-cabin experience.

In its global form, the new-gen Duster is offered with a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, 7-inch digital cluster, wireless smartphone mirroring, dual-zone climate control, and OTA update support. For safety, the SUV comes with six airbags, ESC, a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors, and an ADAS suite comprising blind-spot detection, lane-keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking. The SUV has already secured a 3-star Euro NCAP safety rating. However, the international version sports a very rugged interior with more hard plastics being used around the cabin. Although the last active model of the Duster was also on these lines of more rugged lines, I think Renault will be tweaking the cabin with more soft-touch materials and a more family-appealing upholstery option to strike a chord with a large audience this time.
Powertrain Options

For India, the engine lineup is yet to be confirmed, but petrol engines are expected to arrive first, followed by strong-hybrid options. Globally, the hybrid setup pairs a 1.6-litre petrol unit with two electric motors, producing a combined 140 hp. The model range also includes mild-hybrid petrol, 4x4 options, bi-fuel LPG + petrol variants, and a fully electric version that is being readied for 2027.

The Indian launch of the Duster is likely in late 2025 or early 2026, with the seven-seater derivative, the Boreal, to follow. It will rival the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, and Maruti's latest, the Victoris.
Verdict
The 2026 Renault Duster is shaping up to be far more than just a rugged, value-driven SUV. If the triple-screen interior makes it to production, it could set a new benchmark in the compact SUV space, giving Renault a distinctive edge over well-established rivals. With strong-hybrid and potentially EV options in the pipeline, the new Duster has the ingredients to regain its cult status in India, where it once ruled the roads but was later discontinued due to stricter emission norms that hit diesel hard along with more and more modern competitors that flooded the market.
