Skoda Slavia
The Skoda Slavia is a mid-size sedan known for its powerful turbo-petrol engines, good driving dynamics and strong safety package. With the facelift, the Slavia gets new features such as a 360-degree parking camera, a 10-inch virtual cockpit and segment-first rear massaging seats. Skoda has also introduced an 8-speed automatic gearbox with the 1.0-litre TSI engine, which improves fuel efficiency and makes the powertrain smoother. Buyers looking for a premium sedan that can also work as an everyday family car should consider the Skoda Slavia.

Slavia Highlights
This is for people who want the safest, most fun-to-drive and practical sedan at an attractive price. They should buy the Skoda Slavia.
With the facelift, AC performance has improved. The 8-speed torque converter makes the drive buttery smooth, and the Monte Carlo edition has the aura of a sportscar.

Pros & Cons of Slavia
What we admire in this car
The new 8-speed torque converter delivers better fuel efficiency and even quicker shifts.
It is equipped with the latest features: a 360-degree parking camera, ventilated front seats, a cooled glovebox and a single-pane sunroof.
It is built for both chauffeur-driven and athletic driving experiences.
Rear seats get a massaging function, a first in the segment.
It sets the safety benchmark, with 5 stars from G NCAP.
What could have been better
Even with a facelift, the Slavia misses out on Level 2 ADAS.
The rear seats get a massaging function, which should have been available for the front seats also.
The 1.5L TSI EVO doesn't get the 6-speed manual gearbox.
Only the 1.5L TSI comes with rear disc brakes, not the 1.0L TSI.
Should I buy the Slavia?
If you are looking for a driving nirvana that also fits the shoes of a perfect family car and earns praise for its design, then the Skoda Slavia could be the car of your dreams. After the facelift, it has improved drastically, with UV-cut glass, a new AC compressor, and an 8-speed torque-converter gearbox, all of which have enhanced the overall experience. Plus, the safety factor plays a big role here - it is one of the safest cars on sale. So, with safety, superior driving dynamics, top-notch features, and European design, the Slavia makes for a great car option.
- The Slavia keeps its European sedan silhouette, sharp character lines and proportions. The changes are concentrated at the front and rear.
- Up front, there are new LED headlamps, a horizontal chrome strip across the grille and revised front and rear structures. At the back, the new LED taillamps get sequential turn indicators. All-new alloy wheel designs complete the exterior changes. Wheels are R15 steel with covers on the Classic, and R16 alloys from the Classic+ onwards. The Sportline gets Ving Black alloys, the Prestige gets Savio dual-tone alloys, and the Monte Carlo gets Savio Black alloys.
- The Monte Carlo adds its own badge, red stripes and blacked-out exterior elements. That gives it a sportier look than the rest of the range.
- Skoda offers eight existing colours: Candy White, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Lava Blue, Deep Black, Cherry Red, Shimla Green and Steel Grey. Two new shades, Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige, are added. Cappuccino Beige deliveries begin in December 2026. The interior gets refreshed themes.
- This is an evolution, not a redesign. The new lighting and wheels freshen the look, but the core shape is unchanged.
Slavia body specifications:
| Seating Capacity | 5 seaters |
| Ground Clearance | 145 mm |
| Boot Space | 521 liters |

- The new 10.1 inch touchscreen runs a refreshed interface with new widgets, animations and iconography. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and comes with inbuilt connectivity. The Voice Assistant is powered by Google Cloud's Automotive AI Agent and brings Gemini into the car. It gives real-time information and handles music, calls and climate control by voice. Skoda says it is designed to recognise Indian English accents.
- The Digital Cockpit is 8-inch on the Signature and 10.24 inch on the higher variants.
- Comfort is led by the Rear Seat Massage function, a segment first feature. Front seats are electrically adjustable and ventilated on the Prestige. Climatronic Auto AC and a rear defogger are standard from the Classic. An electric sunroof arrives with the Classic+.
- For parking, the 360-degree Area View camera is available from the Sportline, and the Signature gets a rear-view camera. Park Pilot with front and rear sensors is also offered.
- Safety is a strong point. The Slavia carries forward its 5-star Global NCAP rating for adult and child occupant protection. Six airbags and more than 25 active and passive safety features are standard across the range. Higher variants offer more than 40. Rain-sensing wipers, LED fog lamps, an auto-dimming IRVM and anti-glare ORVMs are available from the Classic+.

- There are two engines, both carried over. The 1.0 TSI comes with a 6-speed manual or the all-new 8-speed torque converter automatic, which is a first in the segment.
- This engine makes 115 PS and 178 Nm. Its claimed fuel efficiency is 19.76 kmpl with the 6-speed manual and 19.50 kmpl with the 8-speed automatic.
The 1.5 TSI is paired only with a 7-speed DSG. Its claimed fuel efficiency is 18.79 kmpl. Rear disc brakes are fitted only on 1.5 TSI variants. - Customers looking for an ideal engine for everyday driving, with good torque on offer, should go for the 1.0-litre TSI. However, those who enjoy a more spirited driving experience should opt for the 1.5-litre engine, which delivers 250 Nm of torque.
