Front Look

From every angle, the front facia of the XUV7XO is its most attractive part. It appears quite muscular with the new piano-black grille, which also has several chrome inserts, giving the new car a bossy attitude that will surely be liked by extrovert young people. If you look at it closely, you will notice how similar it is to the one present on the Scorpio N. Talking about the head-lights, the boomerang-shaped LED DRLs stand apart and become the signature design element of this vehicle.

Then look at those bi-LED headlamps and think again of the Scorpio N-yes, they are quite identical. Looking at the bumper design, it too looks quite busy with multi-colour elements and bold ice-cube fog lamps stacked in a triangular-shaped design element, which adds to its dazzling front facia. Overall, a step up in standing apart, but it will be interesting to see how it ages.
Side Profile

From this portion, nothing has changed except the new 19-inch alloy wheels, which come in a dual-tone finish. The design of the flush door handles, auto ORVMs, roof rails, and C-pillar remains the same. The only change is that the wheel arches and the bottom cladding now feature a more gloss-black treatment, rather than simple dark plastic. It appears that Mahindra wants to position it more as a luxury SUV than a multi-purpose SUV.

Rear Profile

This is the area which does not give the feeling of a new, upgraded version of the XUV700; rather, it gives aftermarket vibes. The overall design of the tail-lights remains the same, but they now feature a 3D effect with a sharp lighting system and a honeycomb effect. Below that, it gets a newly designed bumper with a gloss-black finish and a silver skid plate. Certainly, this is not the most attractive profile of the newly launched XUV 7XO.
Interior Of XUV 7XO

This is the space where the XUV 7XO feels at its best. The usage of dual-tone leatherette upholstery on the dashboard and seats just elevates the overall comfort. The central layout is the same as before - a trinity panoramic display with an EV-specific two-spoke steering wheel that is also flat-bottomed. Other than that, the seats are very supportive, and even people with a large build will find utmost comfort in them. That said, there is a little flaw here too. The central console, where the drive mode selector and gearbox are located, is totally covered in gloss-black finish, making it a very easy surface for scratches and attracting dirt.

Other than these, there are several top-notch modern features inside, including a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a panoramic sunroof, power driver seats with a 3-position memory function, and a 4-way powered Boss Mode.

Verdict
The final verdict on the newly launched XUV 7XO is that it looks flashier than ever. The extensive use of gloss-black elements looks appealing when the car is new, but over time, they may not age as gracefully as other design elements. It also feels like Mahindra has aligned the design more closely with the Scorpio N by sharing several styling cues. While the XUV700 earlier had its own distinct aura and did not need to resemble another model, this new approach is clearly aimed at a younger audience. However, for buyers seeking something more understated, classy, and premium, it may not appeal as strongly as before.
