2020 Hero Xpulse 200 BS6 Price Starts at Rs 1.11 Lakhs - All Details

Hero MotoCorp has finally launched the new BS6-compliant Hero Xpulse 200 in India. The Xpulse 200 was first launched in India in May 2019 and it received an overwhelming response. The Xpulse 200 is the most affordable dual-purpose motorcycle in India and the Indian off-road junkies accepted it whole-heartedly. Upon launch, it was available in both carburetted and fuel-injected versions and was powered by a BS4-compliant engine. Now, the company has launched the new BS6-compliant Hero Xpulse 200 FI in India. The Price of the new 2020 Hero Xpulse 200 BS6 starts at Rs. 1.11 lakhs, Ex-showroom. Here are some more details about it.

First of all, talking about the powertrain. So, the new Hero Xpulse 200 is powered by a BS6-compliant 199.6cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine (BS4 was air-cooled unit). It also gets Hero's XSens programmed fuel-injection technology that delivers better performance and fuel-efficiency. This new BS6 motor churns out 18.04 PS of power at 8500 RPM (BS4 was 18.6 PS at 8000 RPM) and 16.45 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM (BS4 was 17.1 Nm at 6500 RPM). The engine comes coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Xpulse 200 BS6 will deliver a decent mileage of around 35-40 kmpl.

Talking about the dimensions, so the Xpulse 200 BS6 measures 2222 mm in length, 850 mm in width and 1258 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1410 mm and the saddle height (seat-height) stands at 823 mm. The motorcycle has gained 3 kilograms in the process of transition from BS4 to BS6. The BS4 Xpulse 200 FI used to weigh 154 kgs while the new Xpulse 200 BS6 FI weighs 157 kilograms. This adventure motorcycle also gets a massive ground clearance of 220 mm. The new Hero Xpulse 200 is available in five colour variants - Panther Black, Matte Grey, Matte Green, White and Sports Red.

The Xpulse 200 gets 37 mm telescopic forks at the front with 190 mm of travel and a 10-step rider-adjustable mono-shock absorber at the rear. It gets dual-purpose tubed tyres. The front tyre measures 90/90-21 while the rear one is a 120/80-18-inch unit. For braking duties, it gets a 276 mm petal disc brake at the front and a 220 mm disc unit at the rear. It also gets a single-channel ABS as an additional safety aid. Some other features include an all-digital instrument cluster loaded with a ton of information. It also gets turn-by-turn navigation and smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth.

The Price of the new 2020 Hero Xpulse 200 BS6 starts at Rs. 1,11,790. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. It is available in a single variant but you can customise your motorcycle with accessories as per your need and taste. For comparison, let me tell you that the fuel-injected BS4-compliant version of the Xpulse 200 was priced at Rs. 1.07 lakhs, Ex-showroom. So, it has just received a price hike of 4,790 rupees in the BS6 transition process. The Hero Xpulse200 BS6 has no direct rivals in India. However, indirectly it rivals other adventure motorcycles like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 400, KTM 390 Adventure, etc.
