In terms of looks, the upcoming KTM 250 Adventure and the 390 Adventure are almost completely identical. However, there are some subtle changes that differentiate them from each other. For starters, the 390 ADV is longer, wider and taller than the 250 ADV. Also, it has a slightly longer wheelbase. Further, while the 390 Adventure gets an all-LED headlight with LED DRL, the 250 Adventure will get a halogen bulb with daytime running LED. The turn indicators and taillamps are LED units on both the motorcycles and they get a small visor too. The KTM 250 Adventure will be powered by a BS6-compliant 248.8cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine. This motor will churn out around 30 PS of power at 9000 RPM and 24 Nm of peak torque at 7250 RPM. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the KTM 390 Adventure is powered by a BS6-compliant 373.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 43.5 PS of power at 9000 RPM and 37 Nm of peak torque at 7000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Both the motorcycles will deliver around 30-35 kmpl of mileage in real-world conditions.

The KTM 390 Adventure gets Metzeler Tourance tyres while the KTM 250 Adventure will get MRF Mogrip Meteor-FM2 tyres. Both are tubeless tyres and the front tyre of 390 ADV measures 100/90-19 while the rear one is a 130/80 section 17-inch unit. The tyres of the 250 ADV measure 110/70-19 and 150/60-17. The suspension duties on both these motorcycles are handled by 43 mm upside-down (USD) forks at the front and at the rear, they get a pre-load adjustable mono-shock absorber. For braking duties, they get a 320 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear and KTM's off-road ABS too. Talking about features, the 390 ADV gets Cornering ABS, bi-directional quickshifter, traction control and all of these will be missing on 250 ADV.
