Skoda is planning to launch three brand new cars in India this year, namely the Octavia, Kushaq and the Kodiaq Facelift. Now, the India launch of the 2021 Skoda Octavia is imminent and its launch date and price has already leaked on the internet. 2021 Skoda Octavia - Launch Date

As per the latest media report, an authorised Skoda dealership has claimed that the new 2021 Skoda Octavia will be launched in India on June 10, 2021. While Skoda India has not yet officially revealed the exact launch date, Zac Hollis, Brand Director (Sales, Service and Marketing), Skoda India, recently revealed via Twitter that the new Octavia will be launched in June 2021.

2021 Skoda Octavia - Leaked Price

The same media report also reveals that the salesperson associated with the authorised Skoda dealership has claimed that the price of the 2021 Skoda Octavia will approximately range between Rs. 27.50 lakhs - Rs. 32 lakhs. It isn't mentioned that this will be ex-showroom price or on-road price but most likely it's the on-road cost. Thus, the new Octavia will be certainly more expensive than its predecessor and its arch-rival Hyundai Elantra.

2021 Skoda Octavia - Engine and Transmission

The new 2021 Skoda Octavia will get a single powertrain option in the BS6 era. It will be powered by a BS6 compliant 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine with a direct injection system. This motor will churn out 190 PS of maximum power and 320 Nm of peak torque. The engine will come mated to a 7-speed DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) to offer lightning-fast gear shifts and good drivability. This motor does its duty on the 2021 Skoda Superb too.
