2022 Mahindra Thar Now Gets A New Logo But Loses Out On 2 Colours

Mahindra Thar is the most capable 4-seater off-roader in the Indian market. It is quite popular in the country, is offered with both petrol and diesel engine options, gets a hardtop as well as convertible soft top and whatnot. However, for the 2022 version, Mahindra has updated a few things in the Thar and also deleted some of the things. In this article, we will be sharing everything about the 2022 Mahindra Thar!

Mahindra is now moving towards its new twin-peak logo that was first showcased with the XUV700. It then moved to Scorpio N followed by Scorpio Classic and now, several other SUVs like Bolero, Bolero Neo too have been spotted with the new logo. The carmaker will launch the Thar too with this updated logo soon.

The carmaker has now also deleted two colour options from Thar's line-up and those are

Rocky Beige
Mystic Copper

Mahindra Thar is now only offered with four colour options -

Aqua Marine
Red Rage
Napoli Black
Galaxy Grey

Shifting your focus towards the inside, it now gets re-designed toggle switches that are present below the HVAC panel. Earlier, there used to be three dummy buttons beside the hazard light switch with no function at all. Now, each of them have got allocated function for door lock, ESP and hill descent control. Rest, everything remains the same in the Mahindra Thar.

Under the hood, Thar gets powered by two engine options - 2.0L Stallion petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel. The former generates as much as 148 bhp of power with a peak torque of 320 Nm for AT and 300 Nm for MT. The oil burner churns out a peak power and torque of 128 bhp and 300 Nm, respectively. Both engines are mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard and a six-speed torque converter automatic as an option.

The prices of Mahindra Thar range from Rs 15.53 lakh to Rs 16.02 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
