Toyota Innova Crysta is one of the most popular MPVs in the Indian market. Known for reliability, after-market sales support and economical to run, Innova is a brand in itself. It is the diesel motor that gets the most sales, however, the same cannot be said for now. Toyota has halted the bookings of the Innova Crysta diesel version.
This is observed due to the high demand which results in even a higher waiting period. The Japanese carmaker is accepting the bookings for the petrol version though, however, this big 2.7L motor does not deliver a good fuel economy like the 2.4L diesel engine.
Toyota Innova Crysta is available with two engine options - a 2.7L petrol that churns out 164 bhp of power with a peak torque of 245 Nm. The 2.4L diesel produces a peak power and torque of 148 bhp and 343 Nm. Innova Crysta gets a five-speed manual transmission as standard and a 6-speed torque converter automatic as an option for both engines. The 2.4L motor mated to a 6-speed AT belts out a peak torque of 360 Nm though.
Feature-wise, Innova Crysta is equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, multiple airbags, LED projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, cruise control, rake and reach adjustment for the steering wheel, electrically adjustable driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, power-folding ORVMs and more.
The prices of Toyota Innova Crysta range from Rs 17.86 lakh to Rs 26.53 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. In other news, Toyota will debut its upcoming Innova Hycross by November this year. It will get a petrol-hybrid set-up and the carmaker plans to sell the Innova Crysta alongside the new model.
