Bajaj-Triumph collab will debut its much-awaited affordable bike duo in India tomorrow. The Scrambler 400X & Speed 400 have already debuted globally. Bajaj-Triumph Speed 400 Expected Price

The first model is the Speed 400 which is a roadster. It is a road-centric bike & it's supposed to be placed under the Scrambler 400X. As it gets less complex hardware like 17-inch tyres, single-seat, and no protection equipment like knuckle guards, or headlight guards like the Scrambler; we suspect that its pricing will be less than the Scrambler 400X. Additionally, the current segment rivals of it are - KTM 390 Duke, Harley-Davidson X440, & Royal Enfield Hunter 350. As all of its rivals are premium priced, the Triumph badge will also not come cheap. The expected price for the Speed 400 is upwards of Rs 2.75 lakh - Rs 2.90 lakh (ex-showroom). However, there are rumours that Triumph might surprise the audience with the pricing of both bikes.

Scrambler 400X Expected Price

The Scrambler 400X is based on the Speed 400. However, as its name suggests, it is a proper Scrambler bike. Due to changed hardware like a bigger 19-inch front wheel size, block-pattern tyres, knuckle guards, headlight guard, sump guard, scuff plates on the side, luggage mounts, top box mount, etc., it'll be positioned higher than the Speed 400. However, the Scrambler 400X uses the same 398.15cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as the Speed 400. This engine makes a peak power of 39.5 bhp & a peak torque of 37.5 Nm. Due to the addition of rugged hardware, the Scrambler shall be priced a few thousand above the Speed 400. Hence, it'll be launched at an expected price of Rs 3 lakh - Rs 3.20 lakh. Some of its primary rivals are Yezdi Scrambler & Royal Enfield Scram 411.

The new affordable Triumph bikes in India will start a new era for both manufacturers. Bajaj will be handling the operations of Triumph India and hence the new Speed 400 & Scrambler 400X will offer affordable performance and a new option among their respective segments.
