The 2023 Hero Super Splendor Xtec has been launched in India. The new updated model comes with a sticker price of Rs 83,368 ex-showroom. With the new update, it now gets new features as well as some design changes. Read its top highlights or changes below.

Hero Super Splendor Xtec - Design
The new Super Splendor Xtec is more or less the same as the standard variant. The overall design and looks have been retained from the standard variant. However, the addition of a new headlight is the main change. This new headlight unit that comes with a cowl also gets LED DRL. Hence, the front end looks more modern than before. Meanwhile, the new bike is available in three colours. These are - Gloss Black, Candy Blazing Red, and Matte Axis Grey. Moreover, the body graphics on these colours also look the same.
New Features - Xtec Support
The Xtec tagline or name is used by Hero for connected riding. Hence, the new bike gets more features that help with rider aid. The primary change is the addition of a new digital console that looks similar to the one on the Splendor Xtec. Not so big and not so hi-fi, this instrument console does all the job. It gets an orange backlit and chrome surrounding. Speaking of features, it gets Bluetooth phone connectivity. This helps in SMS alerts, missed call alerts, phone call alerts, and phone battery levels as well for the rider. Additionally, the Xtec gets a USB charging point, side-stand engine cut-off, idle start-stop i3s, & a combined braking system.
OBD-2-A Compliant Engine
While the new bike uses the same engine as before, it is now OBD-2-A-compliant. Mind you, the deadline for OBD-2 norms is March end, hence, most makers are updating their products. The 124.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine is still 10.7 bhp powerful. It generates a peak torque of 10.6 Nm which is delivered via a 5-speed gearbox. Additionally, Hero claims that the new bike can deliver up to 68 kmpl of fuel economy as tested by ARAI. However, there are no other changes to the engine whatsoever.
Price, Variants, & Rivals
The new Super Splendor Xtec comes in two variants. The first base model is a drum-brake-only version. It costs Rs 83,368 ex-showroom, Delhi. However, the top-spec gets a front disc brake and a rear drum brake setup. This version is priced at Rs 87,268 ex-showroom Delhi. Its main rivals in India are the TVS Raider 125 & Honda SP125.
Verdict: The new update on the Super Splendor has made the bike ever more modern. Apart from it, the Super Splendor has a strong brand value in the market as well as it delivers good fuel economy. The new Xtec will help new riders on the go along with an easy city commute.
