Yamaha R15 V4 Model Update Details

As per the leaked videos of the updated model that have gone viral online; the new bike will launch soon. Moreover, it is rumored to debut on 13 February in India. Speaking of the updates, the main highlight is the new TFT console. Yamaha has always kept the R15 brand updated with the latest tech, hence, the TFT console makes sense. Additionally, it also gets new LED turn indicators as seen on its MT-15 naked cousin of it. Meanwhile, the internet leaks showcase that a new matte-black colour option will also debut.

While the new features make it an even better package; its prices will also be revised. The addition of new tech means a hike in pricing. Therefore, expect a price hike of Rs 5,000 - 8,000 depending on the variant chosen. Meanwhile, its engine remains unchanged. The updated bike also uses the same 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine makes a peak power of 18.1 bhp & 14.2 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed gearbox with a slipper-assist clutch function is also fitted along with it. Other features include LED DRLs, an LED projector headlight, Bluetooth connectivity, traction control, etc.

Verdict

The updated bike will launch soon (expected 13 February 2023). Yamaha will begin the deliveries of the new model by the end of February. Upon its launch, it will directly rival the KTM RC 125.
