Yamaha is all set to launch the updated 2023 R15 V4 sports bike with some new features, an updated engine, and a new color option. The R15 V4 is Yamaha's best-selling bike in India. Currently priced between Rs 1,79,900 and Rs 1,84,900 (ex-showroom), Yamaha will launch the updated R15 V4 in India in the coming few days. With this new update, the sports bike will get some new and advanced features over its current generation model. Here are all the differences between the current gen R15 V4 and the soon-to-launch updated R15 V4.

Yamaha R15 V4 Engine Updates

Due to the upcoming stricter emission norms, Yamaha will be launching the R15 V4 sports bike with a BS6 phase-2/OBD-2 compliant 155cc, single-cylinder 4V, liquid-cooled engine. With this new engine, the R15 V4 sports bike would meet the new emission norms before the deadline of March 31, 2023. With the updated engine, the R15 V4 bike will become more fuel-efficient, and less polluting with lower levels of emissions coming out of its tailpipe. Also, paired with a 6-speed gearbox, the updated engine would continue to develop 18.4 PS of peak power and 14.2 Nm of peak torque.

Yamaha R15 V4 Feature Updates & New Colour Option

Apart from the engine, Yamaha has finally decided to update the R15 V4 bike with several features that have been demanded by customers for a long. The updated R15 V4 will now get a new advanced TFT instrument cluster display (likely to be around 5 inches in size) with Bluetooth connectivity and a smartphone-connected app. The current model gets an outdated LCD instrument cluster. The updated R15 V4 will also get a new improved switchgear to better control the new TFT screen and navigate through the system UI. Yamaha may also offer a turn-by-turn navigation feature in the new TFT display.

The updated R15 V4 will also get LED turn indicators instead of the halogen indicators on the current model. According to the media reports, Yamaha is also expected to introduce a new matte-black color option in the updated R15 V4. The new color option could also get offered with some optional gold accents and gold alloys.

Verdict: The new updated Yamaha R15 V4 sports bike would now become a slightly bit costlier because of the new features and new emission norms compliant engine. However, it will now become more desirable due to the addition of features that customers have been demanding for a long.
