The Rizta scooter is primarily aimed at family buyers with more utility-oriented needs rather than a fun-to-ride experience. Therefore, its design focuses on the utility aspects like a bigger seat that is wider and longer than Honda Activa. Moreover, the flat footboard offers a decent space for ferrying luggage. Also, the under-seat space is generous, thus making it even more friendly to use.

Ather Rizta

It is based on the chassis of the Ather 450S but the rear part is now extended and broadened to get more space. As a result, the boot space is now a massive 34-lt. Moreover, it also gets a front-trunk (frunk) which has an additional storage space of 22-lt. The fun part is that the storage space under the seat is removable and can be carried as a bag.

The key highlights of its design include a slim and horizontal LED headlight, a wraparound horizontal LED taillight, easy riding ergonomics, single pillion grab rail with a backrest, alloy wheels, telescopic front suspension, dual-shocker rear suspension, and disc brakes at both ends.

Ather will sell the Rizta in two variants: S and Z. The S variant gets 3 single-tone colours and a smaller IDC range of 123 km. The S also has a 7-inch Deep View screen. The Z variant, on the other hand, has a 7-inch TFT console and it gets 5 dual-tone colour options.

The pricing of the Rizta S starts at Rs 1,09,999 lakh (introductory). Meanwhile, the Rizta Z with 123 km range is priced at Rs 1,24,999 and the 160 km range version is priced at Rs 1,44,999 (introductory).

Ather Rizta: Features and Connected Tech

Being an EV, the Rizta is no less in terms of features. The Rizta Z variant is equipped with features like a 7-inch TFT display, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and all of the connected tech that we saw on the 450S. Additionally, it has a very simple UI with neat and clean text. It also has a Reverse mode and an Auto Hold feature.

Ather Rizta

Ather has also equipped the Rizta with the Magic Twist feature. This feature stops the scooter by reverse twisting the throttle; thus, eliminating the need for braking. Due to the revised rear frame, the seat is flat and wider than the petrol scooters. Therefore, the comfort and space is uncompromised as well.

Ather Rizta

With the Rizta, Ather has also introduced a Skid control system. This system monitors the rear wheel spin during riding time. Under loose control, where the rear wheel spins faster than the front and leads to a skid; this tech slows and controls the speed of the rear wheel. The purpose of this tech is to prevent skids and accidents. Moreover, an ESS (emergency stop signal) has been added as well; where the rear light blinks repeatedly during emergency braking.

Ather also offers the Fall Safe tech on it. This prevents the scooter movement after a fall as it automatically cuts off the power.

Rizta Gets the Latest Atherstack 6 OS

With the Rizta, Ather has also released its latest Atherstack 6 operating system. The latest update in the OS has brought new connected and smart features. For example, it now gets live location sharing on the go. It has other features like WhatsApp message reading, Hey Alexa voice integration, and Ping My Scooter to find it in a parking lot. All of these features also come with an updated UI of the screen. It has now become very simple and easier to read as well as to operate.

Moreover, the Rizta Z will be sold with two range options: a 123 km (2.9kWh battery) and a 160 km range (3.7kWh battery) pack. Both of these versions will get a top speed of 80 kmph.

The battery pack of Rizta is IP67-rated as well. Moreover, the Rizta scooter has a water-wading capacity of 400mm. This makes it one of the most user-friendly scooters in the EV market. Rizta will also be offered to the customers with the new Ather Duo home charger.
