1. Design: Retains Sheet Metal, But Offers Tweaks

For 2025, Kawasaki has stuck to the familiar design of the Kawasaki Ninja 300, retaining its sheet metal while introducing subtle updates through new liveries. The updated palette includes Lime Green, Candy Lime Green, and Metallic Moondust Gray. While the changes might seem minor to the average onlooker, a closer inspection reveals a key tweak, red accents have now been swapped for yellow, lending a refreshed and slightly sportier vibe without straying far from the bike's iconic look.

2. Taller Windscreen And Fresh Rubber

The Ninja 300 also benefits from a slightly taller windshield, which should offer improved wind deflection for a more comfortable ride at higher speeds. Complementing this update is a fresh set of MRF tyres, Nylogrip Zapper FX2 at the front and Nylogrip Zapper S1 at the rear, promising better grip and enhanced road confidence. If these new tyres have some effect on the ride quality, is something that we can oly tell you after we test it out comprehensively, so stay tuned for that!

3. Improved Projector Headlamps Inspired By ZX-6R

Visually, the 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 300 retains its sharp, aggressive styling that has long been a part of its appeal. The twin headlamps continue to define its front fascia, flanked by halogen indicators and a cleanly integrated halogen tail light. While the outgoing setup was never really lacking in terms of lighting performance, Kawasaki has now equipped the Ninja 300 with a new twin projector headlamp setup. This upgrade, seemingly inspired by the ZX-6R, is expected to enhance nighttime visibility and add a more premium touch to the bike's front-end design.

4. Retained Engine

Beyond the updated bits, the 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 300 remains mechanically identical to its predecessor. It continues to be powered by the reliable 296cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that delivers 39PS at 11,000 rpm and 26.1Nm at 10,000 rpm. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch, it ensures smoother and more controlled gear shifts. The chassis setup is unchanged as well, featuring a tubular diamond frame paired with a 37mm telescopic fork at the front and a 5-step preload-adjustable linked monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 290mm front and 220mm rear petal disc setup, supported by dual-channel ABS while the bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, with a 110-section front and 140-section rear tyre, maintaining its sporty and agile character.

kawasaki ninja 300

Despite receiving minor updates, the 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 300 continues to be priced at Rs. 3.43 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable fully-faired twin-cylinder motorcycle currently on sale in India. It remains a solid choice for those seeking a reliable and refined twin-cylinder experience and locks horns with the KTM RC 390, TVS Apache RR310, and the Yamaha R3.

Verdict

The Ninja 300 has now been around for a very long time and even though its is one of the most affordable fully faired twin cylinder motorcyle in its class, there are signs of aeging that are visible Although these subtle tweaks will offer a fresh look, but its time that some major upgrades can be done to make it even better than what it currently is.
