It seems like a more hardcore Triumph Scrambler 400 X is officially on the way, with the bikemaker rolling out teasers on its social media handles. This bike will be based on the regular Scrambler 400 X. but it will get elements that will make it more off-road ready.

More Hardcore Triumph Scrambler 400 X Details

The core design of the more off-road ready Scrambler 400 X will remain the same, but there will be a few obvious changes. It will likely come with a body-coloured beak, body-coloured visor, along with a sump guard for enhanced engine protection, and tubeless tyres with spoke rims. The side panels and the tail section are likely to remain the same.

The 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine will continue to make an appearance here, producing 39.4bhp at 8000rpm and 37.5Nm of torque at 6500rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. It is also likely to come with a similar set of features, including dual-channel ABS, switchable traction control, ride-by-wire, a gear position indicator, a USB C-type port, and a semi-digital instrument cluster among other things.

There is also likely to be some new paint schemes on offer, and given Triumph's way of adding the XC suffix to its more hardcore off-roaders, we can expect this bike to be called the Scrambler 400 XC. More details to follow soon!
