Audi RSQ8 India Launch This Month - Bookings Open

Update - Audi India has started taking bookings for the RSQ8 and you can book one, either from a dealership or from Audi's website, for Rs 15 lakh. Audi will launch the RSQ8 in the Indian market later this month

We had anticipated the Audi RSQ8 to be the next launch from the German marque in India. Well, we were right and here it is - Audi will launch the RSQ8 in India later this month. The most powerful Audi SUV is now listed on the Indian website and you can register your interest too. Audi also teases the RSQ8 on Instagram by flaunting it as the fastest SUV at the Nurburgring!

Audi offers the RSQ8 in 9 colour options

The RSQ8 will take the top shelve of Audi India's portfolio and its the same story around the globe as well. Sharing its underpinnings with the stunning Urus and exquisite Bentayga, you see how diversified the Volkswagen group is. The RSQ8 may not excel in terms of horses, but it is the fastest SUV to ever hit the Nurburgring.

Powering the RSQ8 is the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 coupled with a 48v mild-hybrid system we see in RS7. The powertrain churns out 600hp and 800 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed auto. The power is channelled to all four wheels via Audi's impeccable Quattro all-wheel-drive system which can send 70% of the total power to the front and 85% power at the rear wheels. The 48v hybrid setup which is, indirectly, connected to the crankshaft and charge the Li-ion battery while decelerating.

There are some changes you will spot on the RSQ8 over the regular Q8. These include a single frame with honeycomb mesh, 22-inch alloy wheels, sportier bumpers with deeper air intakes, side skirts, dual oval exhaust pipes and carbon rear diffuser along with roof-mounted spoiler. The interior of the RSQ8 is as sporty it can get.

Cockpit

The all-black dashboard sports twin screens for your infotainment and Drive Select controls. The virtual cockpit has always been the best in business and the new RS steering wheel gets a specific RS button. The sports seats, drenched in Alcantara, will cosset you from the brutality of this behemoth around corners. Summing it up, the Audi RSQ8 has to be the most desirable Audi till date and it will cost a bomb. We are talking north of Rs 2 crores ex-showroom, that too without options. The Audi RSQ8 India launch will take place later this month and like the RS7, it will be CBU too.
