The updated version of Pulsar, the iconic motorcycle from the brand, was recently released by Bajaj. The Bajaj Pulsar P150  motorcycle was launched by the company with a starting price of Rs. 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom). There are two models and several colour choices for the new bike. Additionally, it gains additional functionality and a new design. We'll look at the Bajaj Pulsar P150 variants in this article and see what differences they bring.

The Pulsar P150 from Bajaj is available in two variants, one with a single-disc brake and the other with a dual-disc brake. The identical 149.68cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine powers both variants. Peak output is 13.5 Nm of peak torque and 14.5 bhp of power. The 5-speed transmission is connected to the engine. Both models share a similar design language as well, however, they differ due to a few small mechanical and aesthetic tweaks.

The Pulsar P150 Single Disc variant as the name suggests comes with a single-disc brake at the front which measures 260mm and the rear drum brake which measures 130mm. This variant also gets a single seat and a tubular pillion grab rail. Also, the single disc variant gets a tubular handle bar and middle mounted foot pegs which provides an upright riding posture. This variant comes with a 80/100-17 front and 100/90-17 rear tyre size.

The Dual Disc variant, on the other hand, has a dual-disc layout that includes a 260mm front disc brake and a 230mm rear disc brake. Both variations come equipped with a single-channel ABS system. Additionally, this variant includes a clip-on handlebar, foot pegs that are somewhat offset to the rear, and a split seat arrangement for a more athletic stance and riding position. Additionally, it has a split pillion grab rail rather than the single tube pillion grab rail found on the single disc variant. The tyre size on this variant is 90/90-17 at front and 110/80-17 rear tyre. This variant gets wider tyres than the single disc variant.

The remaining features are same in both variants. It receives a semi-digital instrument cluster with MID, USB mobile charging port, LED projector headlamp, . There are a total of 5 colour variations available from Bajaj. Ebony Black Red, Ebony Black Blue, Ebony Black White, Racing Red, Caribbean Blue, and Ebony Black are some of the variations available.

The Pulsar P150 Single Variant costs Rs. 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Dual Disc Variant is priced at Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom).

Verdict

The Bajaj Pulsar P150 is a reliable commuter motorbike with a lot of features and a contemporary appearance. The price difference between the two bikes is only Rs 3,000, and both variants of the bike have slight changes from one another. The Bajaj Pulsar P150 is in direct competition with the Hero Xtreme 160R, Honda Unicorn 150, and TVS Apache 160.
