Skoda launched the 2020 Karoq in the Indian market recently. The Karoq is priced at Rs 24.99 lakh and is positioned under the Kodiaq in the Skoda line-up. Currently being imported to India via the CBU route, the Karoq is available in six colour options - white, brown, blue, black, silver, and grey. While deliveries of the car have not resumed properly in the country due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there are a number of dealerships across India that have started rolling out cars. As of yet, the Karoq was only seen in the official media images but now, thanks to Vishnu Shaji, we have access to the photographs of the black 2020 Skoda Karoq BS6 model which was parked outside a dealership in Kerala.

The black coloured Skoda Karoq looks mean and aggressive and has a massive road presence - if you agree, share your opinion in our 91W Skoda Whatsapp Group. The sleek headlamps upfront and the Skoda butterfly grille make it look more modern and sharp. From the sides, the car looks elegant and the overall stance is very similar to the Kodiaq. In all, the black 2020 Skoda Karoq BS6 looks funky and at the same time has a compact footprint making it a great city car. Looking at the picture, it seems like this black beauty was ready to be delivered at the time it was shot as we can see lemons kept in front of the wheels of the car. Keeping lemons in front of the wheels and driving the car over them is considered to be very positive for an auspicious start.

The 2020 Skoda Karoq is available only in one, fully-loaded trim option and is powered by a 1.5-L TSI turbo petrol engine. This engine churns out 150 Ps and 250 Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a 7-Speed DSG gearbox.

In terms of features, the Karoq is heavily loaded with all the bells and whistles including dual zone climate control, power-adjustable driver's seat, ParkTronic System, TPMS and many other useful features. The Skoda Karoq rivals against the cars such as VW T-Roc, Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Kia Seltos and the Tata Harrier.
