Hi, I'm Tejen. I was born and brought up in a small town of Haryana. However, from the day of my birth and until now, I've always lived around cars and motorcycles. More than passion, the automotive world is my only lifestyle. It's the connection to the vehicle that delivers me peace. However, when it comes to a choice; my instinct leads me towards motorcycles.

BMW G 310 RR Details

BMW India teased the G 310 about a month ago in India. The teaser photos and videos already made it clear that it will be largely the same bike as the Apache RR 310. And it is indeed the same in many terms.

Speaking of the similarities, the design is similar and so are the dimensions. The main difference is the availability of different colour shades and body graphics. The splash of new graphics, especially the BMW Motorrad treatment does look amazing. BMW is selling this special colour as the 'Style Sport Variant' and it costs Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The overall design elements are the same; which means there are slim to no differences. The form uses a dual-LED projector headlight setup, the fuel tank, body fairing, alloy wheel design, and LED taillight are all the same in both bikes.

Rear tyre BMW

BMW is using the Michelin Pilot Street tyres on the G 310, which are different from the TVS sibling. Additionally, the TFT screen is the same but the graphics are varied. Also, there is no Bluetooth connectivity in the BMW G 310 RR which is quite surprising because of the higher price tag.

The engine and specs are also carried forward from the Apache. This means the same engine that produces 34 hp of peak power and 27 Nm of peak torque is being used in the BMW. The 6-speed gearbox with slipper-assist clutch is also carried as it is. Also, the front suspension of the BMW is not adjustable as the TVS. Only the preload can be adjusted here.
