Ducati DesertX Discovery Launched At Rs 21.78 Lakh!

The Ducati DesertX is among the most capable motorcycles out there, be it on the road or off of it, but if you want something that is a bit more committed but does not intimidate you at the same time, the DesertX Discovery has arrived, slotting between the base and the Rally variant.

Ducati DesertX Discovery Details

The DesertX Discovery appears tougher and more committed when compared to the regular DesertX, and that is due to bits like the dual-tone Thrilling Black-Ducati Red paint scheme, a front bullbar, reinforced hand guards and a sump guard, an engine guard with water pump protection, a larger windscreen, and a radiator grill. The presence of a centre-stand will make things easier when it's time to park the bike.

In terms of features, the DesertX continues with the 5-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity via Ducati's app, turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, two changeable themes, a gear position indicator, three-level cornering ABS, cruise control, traction control, wheelie control, and a quickshifter and among other things. It also gets five riding modes, two of which are dedicated for off-road use.

Everything else has been retained from the regular DesertX underneath the tougher looks. It continues with the same 937cc, liquid-cooled Testastretta engine, producing 108.6bhp at 9250rpm and 92Nm of torque at 6500rpm. Built on a steel trellis frame, it makes use of fully-adjustable long-travel suspension from KYB on both ends, and the brakes come courtesy of Brembo; twin 320mm discs at the front with radially-mounted monobloc four-piston callipers, along with a 265mm with a dual-piston calliper.
