e-Ashwa Automotive's New E-Auto Launched In India, Priced At Rs 1.65 Lakh

In an effort to get into the market for electric three-wheeler vehicles, Ghaziabad-based e-Ashwa Automotive has introduced its first e-auto for Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In August 2019, e-Ashwa Automotive opened its first dealership after opening its production facilities in June 2019. It now operates in 19 states and largely serves the general public and small companies.

Lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries are used by the recently released e-Ashwa e-auto to supply all of its power. Both batteries charge differently; the lithium-ion battery charges in three to four hours whereas the lead-acid battery takes seven to eight hours. The e-auto has a soft rooftop and a heavy-steel body for better durability. The e-auto will be offered in Sky Blue, Green, Orange, Black, and White colours, and the manufacturer says that it has a range of up to 100 kilometres on a single charge.

The top speed of these e-auto is 25 kmph. For existing traditional rickshaw drivers wishing to switch, the affordable e-auto will be a suitable choice. Additionally, it will be less expensive, low-maintenance, and eco-friendly.

The business has experienced significant growth since 2018, and 12 different electric 2-wheeler models were released last year. In a range of categories, including electric scooters, e-motorbikes, e-rickshaws, e-autos, e-loaders, and e-garbage trucks, it has sold more than 18,000 electric vehicles (EVs). It has 950 dealers nationally and 16 state-based assembly facilities. It also has a technical staff of about 750 people.

Autos are important enablers in closing the last-mile mobility gaps, according to e-Ashwa Automotive, who specialise in the affordable electric mobility category. The company is concentrating on last-mile connectivity, and the new electric auto will help improve last-mile connectivity in small towns and rural locations where there are still issues with the availability of full-size autos.
