
In its fifth generation now, the new Range Rover made its global debut in October last year and has been rather quick to enter the ever-growing luxury market of India
The order for the fifth-generation Range Rover is now open across all authorized dealerships of Jaguar Land Rover India. Slated to launch soon, the new luxo-barge is priced at INR 2.31 crore. The new SUV will not just provide a richer experience to its users but also provides the customers with many more customization options than before.
Speaking on the opening of the order book, Rohit Suri, president and managing director, Jaguar Land Rover India, said, The Range Rover sits at the pinnacle of luxury SUVs in India and the new fifth generation Range Rover ups the desirability quotient significantly higher.

The new Range Rover will be sold in three trim levels SE, HSE, and the range-topping Autobiography. Also, the SUV will be available in a First Edition variant throughout its first year of production. This bespoke model will be based on the Autobiography trim and will feature a longer list of features. The new model will be available in five exterior paint options, with the Sunset Gold Satin being the signature shade. While the Standard (SWB) and LWB (Long Wheelbase) versions will be on offer with a five-seater layout as standard, the latter will be even available with an optional third row that will allow the SUV to seat a total of seven adults.
Underpinned by the new MLA-Flex body architecture, the new SUV benefits from Integrated Chassis Control with Dynamic Response Pro that results in high ride comfort through Electronic Air Suspension that minimizes the vertical movement as the vehicle enters into corners. The new Range Rover will be available with three engine options 3.0-liter diesel, 3.0-liter petrol, and new 4.4-liter Twin-Turbo V8 petrol.

The 3.0-liter motors have a six-cylinder layout each and feature 48 V MHEV setup that harvests energy that is lost under braking as well as deceleration. This energy regeneration technology helps the motor with higher fuel efficiency. Moreover, this mild-hybrid systems belt-integrated starter motor enables a more responsive as well as refined operation of the idle start-stop system. It even provides the motor with an extra punch under acceleration. Meanwhile, the 4.4-liter Twin-Turbo V8 motor comes equipped with Dynamic Launch control that enables the full-size luxury SUV to spirnt from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.6-seconds.

The Range Rover moniker enjoys a 50-year legacy and in the words of its manufacturer, the fifth-gen model mixes modernity and aesthetic grace with technological sophistication and seamless connectivity.
