Just recently, Maruti discontinued the reliable diesel unit for a sole 1.5L petrol and with mild cosmetic changes. This modified unit is via X roaders and is the first Brezza to get flat bottom steering wheel. What's interesting is that the owner has done 300 km on the odometer since the installation. Flat bottom steering wheel are catching up in the automobile industry as they add sportiness and are also lighter when compared to other units. Coming to this ZDi+ model then the stock wheel comes with features like cruise control, multi-function controls and voice commands. So the XL6 flat bottom steering wheel was a perfect choice as it provided a perfect balance of identical features and sportiness. The job was done by SP Customs as the XL6 steering wasn't fitting in the Brezza column because of the larger screw diameter. So to make it easier they shopped for a used steering wheel of Brezza which cost Rs 1500 and another Rs 3500 for the screw swap. After completing like 200 km with the new wheel, they further ordered the airbag module from Bodomo which costed an additional of Rs 3590. The total cost of this job sticks to Rs 17,105 and in my opinion, it surely is an impressive one.

Now, coming to the long lost wireless charging feature that still isn't seen in the Brezza directly from Maruti. It's competition Hyundai Venue also offers this feature in higher trims. For some saying that Maruti offers Brezza with wireless charging then they offer it as an accessory. This same accessory has been purchased by the owner for about Rs 3,590 and comes with coupler wire which costs an additional Rs 410.

Coming to its specifications then it gets a tri-coil system with powerful 15W auto capability. It features 15W fast charging mode and works with Qi charging compatible smartphones. It also gets over current, temperature and voltage protection. Once the car is in ignition mode, the LED lights of the charger indicate that it is ON. The owner did it with the DIY method but the accessory can be fitted from the showroom itself in just under 30 minutes.
