IIT Delhi Develops Affordable HOPE Electric Scooter - Covers 1 Km in 20 Paisa; Range Upto 75 Kms

Electric Mobility is getting very popular in India in recent times. We now have a lot of electric vehicles on sale in the country, especially in the two-wheeler category. Also, most of them aren't from the house of mass-market players and some of them are even from start-ups. Now recently, Geliose Mobility - an IIT Delhi start-up, has also launched a new electric scooter in India called HOPE. The price of the new Geliose HOPE electric scooter starts in India at just Rs. 46,999. Here are all the details about this new e-scooter.

So, Geliose Mobility is an IIT Delhi-based start-up. IIT Delhi says that this electric scooter is equipped with modern tech and new-age features like a battery management system, data monitoring system. pedal-assist unit, etc. Geliose HOPE is a cost-effective electric scooter that has been specifically developed for delivery purposes and intra-city commuting. IIT Delhi and the start-up claims that the running cost of this electric scooter is around just 20 paisa per kilometre. It gets a host of new-age tech and features too.

Now, if we talk about the specs of this electric scooter, so it gets a lithium-ion battery coupled to an electric motor. There will be two versions of the scooter - one with 50 kms of range and the other with 75 kms of range and the customers can choose one as per their wish. It will take 4 hours to fully juice it up and the battery can be charged via any regular charging socket as the company will provide a portable charger with the e-scooter. Also, the top speed of the electric scooter is just 25 kmph and so a driving license and registration for the same aren't required. The Geliose HOPE is even IoT enabled for data analytics and fleet management applications.

The price of the new Geliose HOPE electric scooter starts at just Rs. 46,999. At this price point, it is one of the most affordable electric scooters in India and that too with li-ion battery and IoT connectivity.
