Hero Electric Join Hands With Sun Mobility For Deploying 10,000 e2-Wheelers

Hero Electric and Sun Mobility have formed cooperation to deploy 10,000 electric two-wheelers with swappable batteries in the coming months. As part of the agreement, Hero Electric and SUN Mobility will begin deploying electric two-wheelers in the next three months, with a goal of deploying 10,000 two-wheelers by the end of the year. Sun Mobility's battery technology and the accessibility of battery swapping infrastructure will allow Hero Electric's consumers to purchase electric two-wheelers without having to worry about battery and charging infrastructure.

Hero Electric is currently extending its existing research and development facilities in order to produce the next generation of low-speed, city-speed, and high-speed vehicles for consumers.

The notion of a swappable battery will also solve the issue of long charging periods and range anxiety, as the batteries can be replaced in a matter of minutes. The network of Quick Interchange Stations enables a charging infrastructure that is quicker, cheaper, and more convenient than traditional ICE petrol and diesel pumps. This system also operates on a Pay-Per-Use basis, allowing people, e-commerce businesses, and fleet operators to simply embrace electric mobility for last-mile connection.

Chetan Maini, Co-Founder and Chairman of Sun Mobility, said The confluence of Hero Electric's futuristic vision on understanding the EV space and the pros of the battery swapping technology, along with the government's commendable initiatives to come up with tangible policies, will definitely augur well with our common goal to accelerate the demand and adoption of EVs in the country."
