Honda CB200X Entry-Level ADV Launched - Based on Hornet 2.0

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is stepping ahead of old and new models. with its entry-level ADV, CB200X. Honda Launched its entry-level CB200X as the most affordable ADV which shares plenty of specifications with Hornet 2.0 at Rs 1,44,500 (ex-showroom).

It shares plenty with Hornet 2.0, including its 184.4cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 16.5 PS and a peak torque of 15.5 Nm. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. CB200X is priced almost Rs 13,000 higher than Hornet.

It is all set to compete against Hero Xpulse 200 ADV whereas, the design of this ADV is inspired by its elder sibling, CB500X. Wherever you go on this bike it looks muscular with its sculpted fairing and knuckle guards. CB200X comes loaded with classy features like a full-LED family pack which includes a headlamp, taillight and turn indicators.

The ergonomics have been altered as well;the single-piece handlebar gets riser making it easier to stand when riding, although the footpegs remain unchanged. The seat is comfortable, and relatively easy to climb on the ADV. The new model is a middle-of-the-road ADV that feels at home as much in the urban environment as it does on the tar-less paths.

The Honda CB200X is 5kgs heavier than Hornet with a kerb weight of 147 kgs. The bike from behind gets monoshock suspension, 17-inch wheel on both ends, shod with 110/70 at the front and 140/70 at the rear.276mm disc on the front and 220 mm on the rear.

Keeping in mind the safety of the rider, CB200 X comes equipped with single-channel ABS as standard and disc-brakes on both ends for better ride quality.

At this price point, the Honda CB200X finds itself positioned between the Hero Xpulse 200 and Royal Enfield Himalayan, the two thoroughbred entry-level ADV motorcycles that have found a fairly wide acceptance among adventure riding enthusiasts. Honda Launched its entry-level CB200X which hit the roads hard.
