Honda Motor Company's Chinese subsidiary Sundiro Honda features a host of 190cc motorcycles in its native country. Honda's 190cc series of motorcycles have been in production for quite some time now but it is exclusively available only for the Chinese market. The 190cc portfolio of Honda includes a lot of interesting motorcycles like the CBF 190R, CBF 190TR, and the recently introduced CBF 190X Adventure motorcycle. But why are we talking about the Chinese market here? It's because Honda has patented the Honda CBF 190R motorcycle in India. So, does it mean that it is launching soon in India? According to recent media reports, the Honda CBF 190R patent has been filed by the brand at the Indian Patents Office. Honda has filed the patent for the design of the motorcycle back in June 2019 while the journal date was due on March 6, 2020. It is to be noted that the filing for a patent doesnt assure the launch of the Honda CBF 190R streetfighter in India nevertheless, the chances are probable. Honda might be evaluating to launch it in India as a premium sub-200cc naked motorcycle from the brand.
The Honda CBF 190R is a striking-looking motorcycle. It looks fresh and sporty with a unique sharp design language. The motorcycle features an all-LED headlight, golden USD front forks, an all-digital instrument cluster, petal discs with single-channel ABS, hazard light, etc. It is powered by a 184cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 16 PS of power at 8000 RPM and 15 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

As of now, the imminent launch of the Honda CBF 190R seems uncertain in India but Honda might bring it to our shores in the coming months and position it as a premium offering between the current crop of the 160s and the 200s. If Honda brings it in India with almost the same types of equipment and prices it aggressively, it will definitely find a lot of takers. In case it is launched, it will be priced around Rs. 1.10 lakhs, Ex-showroom.
