Honda's Upcoming Motorcycle Teased for India Launch - Coming Soon?

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India released a teaser video of their new motorcycle on social media. Though not revealing much, it's likely to be in the 150-180cc range, a popular category. A Glimpse Of The Honda's Upcoming Motorcycle: Teaser Released

Honda released a short 15-second teaser video of its new motorcycle, possibly named SP 160. The video shows some features, including an angular tail lamp, halogen turn indicators with the Honda name at the rear top, and a possible single-piece tubular grab rail. On the left-hand side, there's a side-mounted exhaust system and a pillion rest guard for practicality. The seat is likely to be a single-piece unit. The teaser also reveals the H-pattern of the angular tail lamp and parts of the handlebar clamp and fuel tank.

The motorcycle is expected to be powered by the same 162cc engine generating 12.7bhp and 14Nm. It will likely have simple and utilitarian hardware and features. The official unveiling is scheduled for next week, with the launch expected during the festive season.

The price is expected to be around Rs. 1.10-1.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle will share its base structure with the Unicorn 160 and draw design inspiration from the SP 125 model. It aims at the 160cc commuter segment, with a special focus on Tier-3 cities where Honda doesn't have a dedicated option.
