How To Debadge A Car Like A PRO In Just Three Simple Steps!

There are several people and automotive enthusiasts who do not like too many badges on the cars and often spend a considerable amount of money to get them removed. • Soapy Solution
  • Plastic Card
  • Glue Residue Remover
  • Cotton/Microfiber Cloth
  • Car wax

Step 2: Removing the Badges

This is one of the essential steps in the entire procedure, and make sure that you have plenty of time to do this. To remove the badges, start with the following steps:

  • Use the heat gun or the hairdryer to warm up the adhesive. The adhesive will become loose due to the heat and easier to remove.
  • Now, spray the adhesive remover to the corners of the badges and heat it again.
  • Use the fishing line/dental floss to remove the badges. You will have to insert the fishing line/dental floss between the badges and the body panels to do this. Do this process slowly and carefully.

  • Once the badges have been removed, use the heat gun to loosen up the leftover glue and slowly remove it. Ensure that you do not overheat the panel, as it can damage your paint.

Once this step is over, you will have to clean the leftover residue from the paint without damaging the topcoat.

Pro Tip: You can use the soapy solution while removing the badges and the residue to minimise the chances of damaging the paint.

Step 3: Cleaning

Once you are done with the above steps, it is now time to clean the panel. Follow these steps to ensure that there is no residue left on the paint:
