If you too love this compact monster, we have a modified Maruti Suzuki Ignis which is being powered by a bigger 1.4-L engine and is claimed to be the fastest in the country!

This modified Maruti Suzuki Ignis is not just claimed to be the fastest in the country but is also claimed to be the first Ignis in India to be powered by a 1.4-L engine. Named as the Thain Thain Ignis, the car features a 101 hp (approx) 1.4-L engine which has been carved out of the stock 1.2-L motor. The dyno test of this engine revealed a maximum power of 82 hp at the wheel and maximum torque of 120 Nm at wheel. Do note that the stock Ignis makes the same power, but at the crank, not at the wheel. In terms of acceleration, this car is able to touch the 100 kmph mark in 9.85 secs from a standstill. Apart from this, the car also features HPI Japan Megamax universal air filter and Fujitsubo Japan exhaust muffler.

In order to improve the handling and braking characteristics, there has been a number of changes made to the car. To start with, the stock brakes of the car have been replaced with Dixel Japan components which include Dixcel Japan Slotted brake rotors and Dixcel Japan ES brake pads. Other modifications include the replacement of stock suspension with RSR Japan Coilovers in addition to the Tanabe Chassis braces which have been installed to improve the overall driving dynamics of the car.
