Mahindra XUV 7XO Top Variant Spied

Mahindra's XUV700 was long due for an update, especially as competition in the segment has intensified with rivals like the MG Hector, Tata Safari and Harrier receiving recent updates. This facelift will also follow the Mahindra's naming strategy as the previous models. The current XUV700 range tops out at the AX7L variant, however, with the upcoming facelift, Mahindra is expected to rebadge the SUV as the XUV7XO, with the new lineup likely extending up to a more premium AX9L trim. Visually, the test vehicle retains the familiar silhouette but features subtle yet noticeable updates, including redesigned front and rear bumpers, refreshed LED lighting elements, a revised grille, and new alloy wheel designs signalling a more upmarket positioning for the flagship variant.
Interiors

The facelifted model is expected to feature a completely new interior theme aimed at giving it a premium appeal. The spied variant appears to sport a dual-tone brown and beige cabin, complemented by leatherette upholstery and ventilated front seats. Dominating the dashboard is a large triple-screen setup, a layout that is fast becoming the new norm and has already been seen on Mahindra's XEV 9S and XEV 9E. The cabin is also likely to get a new steering wheel with an illuminated Mahindra logo, a Harman Kardon audio system, boss mode for rear-seat comfort, a panoramic sunroof, Level-2+ ADAS, a powered tailgate, and several other comfort and technology enhancements.

Powertrains
Mechanically, it is expected to carry forward the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which produces 200 PS, and a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine that delivers 185 PS of power. It comes mated either with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit. Apart from this, the spy test mule is a 4WD variant, which indicates that 4WD will also be carried forward.
