Mahindra XUV 7XO: What's New On The Outside?

Mahindra has opted for an evolutionary design approach rather than a complete overhaul. The front end looks more imposing thanks to a revised grille, sleeker headlamps and a new single-strip LED DRL signature. Pixel-style fog lamps add a modern touch, while the rear gets fresh LED tail-lamps inspired by Mahindra'S electric SUV design language. New alloy wheels round off the updates, with the top variants now riding on 19-inch wheels, while lower trims get smaller alloy or steel wheels.

Step inside and the changes are immediately noticeable. The dashboard now features a striking triple-screen setup, consisting of three 12.3-inch displays for the driver, infotainment and co-driver. The cabin feels more premium with new upholstery colour themes and improved materials. A key upgrade is the introduction of sliding second-row seats, significantly improving third-row usability. Middle-row occupants also benefit from added conveniences such as sunshades and wireless phone charging.

Mahindra XUV 7XO: Features

The facelift brings a host of new and enhanced features, including:

  • A 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system
  • 540-degree surround camera with underbody view
  • Powered co-driver seat with boss mode
  • Multi-colour ambient lighting
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Powered tailgate
  • Ventilated seats for the second row (on select variants)

In addition, the SUV continues to offer dual-zone climate control, connected car tech, keyless entry and powered front seats with memory function.

Safety Still A Strong Point

Mahindra XUV 7XO

Safety remains one of the XUV 7XO'S biggest strengths. It comes equipped with up to seven airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, front and rear parking sensors and a Level-2 ADAS suite. Given the strong safety record of its predecessor, the facelifted model is expected to perform well in Bharat NCAP testing.

Engine And Powertrain Options

Mechanically, the XUV 7XO continues with the same proven engines:

  • 2.0-litre turbo-petrol producing around 200 PS and 380 Nm
  • 2.2-litre diesel delivering up to 185 PS and 450 Nm

Both engines are available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearboxes. The diesel automatic can also be paired with an all-wheel-drive system, making it a capable option for rough-road use.

Variants, Bookings And Deliveries

The Mahindra XUV 7XO will continue to take on established players like the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar, positioning itself as a feature-rich and performance-oriented alternative.
