Several car launches have been delayed for months now because of the COVID-19. However, with the ease in lockdown, carmakers have now resumed the launch of their vehicles digitally and seem like Maruti Suzuki will also follow the footsteps of its rivals. We are hinting about the Maruti S-Cross petrol launch which will happen soon.
The launch of Maruti S-Cross petrol is one of the highly anticipated news as the Kia Seltos rival promises some better features and premium quality. In a recent piece of information we have got, the sales training of the Maruti S-Cross has been started.

What it means that the launch is somewhere expected later this month or in early August. The crossover will get a new 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which makes as much as 103 bhp with 138 Nm of peak torque. This engine sounds familiar as it is used in Maruti Brezza, Ertiga, XL6 and Ciaz.

The engine gets mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and Maruti might launch a four-speed torque converter unit. The latter comes with SHVS technology. This mild-hybrid technology helps in increasing the fuel efficiency of the S-Cross. It is not clear if Maruti will bring the SHVS in the manual variants of the S-Cross or not.

Coming to the shared image above, the new S-Cross has been clearly rivalled with the Kia Seltos. Mind you, the latter is one of the most popular mid-size SUV in the country right now. Feature-wise, the S-Cross will get LED projector headlights, telescopic steering wheel, 60:40 split rear seats, automatic climate control and among others.
