Maruti Suzuki Rolls Out BS6 Celerio and BS6 Tour H2 In CNG - Details

Just recently, Maruti Suzuki announced that they have completed more than 1 lakh sales for the FY 2019-20 for S-CNG vehicles and now a week later they have launched the popular Celerio and Tour H2 in BS6 engines equipped with their CNG technology. Maruti Celerio is available to both private buyers and cab aggregators.

Prices of BS6 equipped Maruti Celerio CNG start from Rs 5.60 lakh and the H2 (Celerio Taxi) is priced at Rs 5.37 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The CNG version of Celerio is available in two trims - VXi and VXi(O). The latter comes with dual airbags and is priced at Rs 5.68 lakh. When compared with the prices of BS4 models of Celerio then the new BS6 CNG is Rs 20,000 expensive.

Maruti Suzuki has now discontinued the diesel engines from its portfolio and is now relying heavily on the CNG models along with improved petrol engines. To further make up for the fuel economy diesel engines provided, they are bringing in updated naturally aspirated petrol engine which delivers more ARAI certfieid fuel efficiency. One such example is of the recently launched Dzire which delivers 24.12 km/l for the AMT and 23.26 km/l for the 5-speed manual.
